Salcombe Devon holiday accommodation, activities and tourism services. From hotels to guest houses, self-catering apartments and cottages, bed and breakfast
B&B, farm houses, camp sites, pubs and inns, shops and restaurants.
The pretty harbour town of the Salcombe
lies at the southern most tip of Devon on the Salcombe and Kingsbridge estuary.
This is the South Hams, a landscape of steeply rolling hills and valleys dropping down to sandy
beaches and coves, much of which is a designated area of natural outstanding
beauty.
Our coastline runs from Dartmouth in the East to Plymouth in
the West, with pretty coastal villages along the way, Mothercombe, Burgh Island, Bantham,
Thurlestone, Hope Cove, salcombe, Torcross and Blackpool Sands. Lying in the estuary are
Kingsbridge, Frogmore, South Pool and Portlemouth. East Prawle is an important arrival and departure point for migratory birds and
insects. For a complete and dramatic change of scenery then you have the wilderness
of Dartmoor National Park just in the distance.
Salcombe offers a wide range of land and water activities. Sailing is a major activity
here from dinghy to cruising, or just potting about on the water and exploring the
creeks and beaches of the estuary. You will find RYA sailing courses of most levels.
Diving and scuba facilities, fishing, boat hire and ferries start at Whitestrands pontoon.
